Basic Home Nursing


Sometimes we wish we knew how to really take care of our family, friends and loved ones who are ill at home. Are we confident enough to respond to their call?

This course is divided into two categories at 4 hours each: Care of the Elderly and Care of the Infant & Child. This includes lectures and practical demonstrations which is designed to teach participants some relevant and basic nursing skills needed in taking care of the sick person at home.

  3. Preventing the spread of Communicable Disease (Infection Control)
    * Isolation Precaution
    * Proper Hand-washing techniques
     
  4. Care of the Aged & the Bed-ridden
    * General Guidelines
    * Personal Care (Maintaining Hygiene, Feeding, Turning, Proper Medication Administration)
     
  5. Simple Home “D-I-Y” Remedies
    * Hydrotherapy
