Ipoh, Malaysia: On 15th May 2011, Klebang Seventh-Day Adventist
Community Health Centre organized its’ first Mini Health Expo in our
church. This event was organized in conjunction with World Mothers
Day celebration 2011. The program started around 9.30 in the
morning.
We had the privileged to invite Mrs. Jane Yap (PEM Health
Director) who gave us a talk about cancer awareness. She talked
about all the cancer causing agents and gave us the scenario of the
percentage of women affected by this disease not only in Malaysia
but also in the neighboring countries as well. It was such a helpful
and very informative talk.

There were about 45 people who attended the program including our
church members. There were different booths provided in order to
assess and check each participant health status such as, Body Mass
Index or BMI using the karada machine, Blood Pressure, and Glucose
check up and a health counselor was available to interpret the
results. We also had a seated massage and a healthy cooking
demonstration. For the cooking demo, our church Women Ministry
taught the participants on how to do fruit salad and also power
drink. They really had a good time tasting the food. They (women
ministry) also prepared lunch to all who attended. We really thank
the Lord for this opportunity to serve the community here. To
Klebang ACC I want to thank you for making this event a success. Let
us all continue to serve our Lord with whatever talents He has given
us. To God all Be The Glory!
