15 Aug, Bercham Ipoh – 19 participants received their
certificates during the recently concluded 8-weeks’ to wellness in
Living Spring Wellness Centre in Ipoh – a subsidiary of the
Adventist Community Health Centre.
“I have learned how to prepare and cook healthy food
for my family, this was a great course!” says one participant.
For 8 Sundays, the participants attended healthy
cooking demos and health lectures on Carbohydrates, Fats, Vitamins,
Protein, the Importance of Plant-Based Diet as well as Breakfast.
They learned to cook Malaysian food, the healthy way – in its most
natural form and without any added chemicals – ranging from Thosai,
to Pizza, to Mee Jawa, to corn bread and etc.
“This program was good way of reaching out to the
community,” says Mrs. Liew, owner of the centre who works very
closely with Ipoh’s local Seventh Day Adventist Churches.
Kudos to the team – the 2 Medical Missionaries/Health Promoters –
Tabby & Catherine, Mr. & Mrs. Liew, Pastors Andrew Hau and Tan Wei
Siong and his wife, Min Min! The good Lord be praised indeed!
