New Batch of Health Promoters Completed their training (5 July 2010)

PEM Headquarter Office, KL – 4 new Nursing graduates joined the Health Promoter/Medical Missionaries Program on 5th July 2010. After 3-weeks’ crash course training on Spiritual Formation and The Health Ministry & Its Work, the 4 health promoters were sent out to their different assignments in order to assist in the local community health centres around Peninsular Malaysia work for the next 6 months.

When asked what motivated them to join this work and become a Missionary/Health Promoter, they have the following response:

Evelyn, 23 years old: “I came to this world not by accident. I believe that God has a divine purpose for my life and that He has chosen me to do His work. I want to surrender my life to Him, to serve Him through the community that will be assigned to me.”

Ivan Tan, 23 years old: “I heard about this program during the Youth Alive in Penang last year. I was committed to join at that time but Satan did not want me to. Thank God that He used my sister, cousin, and friends to encourage me and now I am fully surrendering to God my commitment to join this program.”

Frenly, 24 years old: “I am still wondering how I came here but I believe it was through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. When I was being interviewed by the MMVP team, I can feel the Holy Spirit in my heart, as if He was calling me and I am glad I responded. I believe that God chose me to be here.”

Lowrinah, 24 years old: “I want to grow in my faith, I want God to fill me up and that the Holy Spirit will not pass me by...these are the reasons why I want to be a Missionary. I know that it is going to be an exciting journey with God and I am willing.”
