30 May 2010, Kuala Lumpur: “Eat Right, Move Right – A
Walk towards Health” was the title of the Nutrition & Exercise
seminar organized by the Adventist Community Health Centre (ACC) on
30th May 2010 at Cititel Midvalley in Kuala Lumpur.
Two experts on Nutrition and Exercise, Dr. Miriam
Estrada, a Professor and Dean of the College of Health at the
Adventist University of the Philippines and Dr. Yen Ang, Preventive
Health Specialist at the Wellness Centre of Penang Adventist
Hospital, led the audience in an intelligent presentation on the
importance of eating right and getting the best nutrients from a
plant-based diet. “Your plate must contain 50% of rainbow-colored
vegetables,” says Dr. Yen Ang who also emphasized on the importance
of a regular exercise.
“This is has been a very informative seminar and I
really learned a lot,” says one of the participants.
The event climaxed with a live cooking demo on three
healthy recipes: vegetarian assam fish, country bean salad and pina
colada, demonstrated by ACC’s representatives: Ms Rose Solano and
Mrs. Ellen Andrews.

This event was organized by the Adventist Community
Health Centre, a faith-based, not-for-profit centre who is
passionate about changing the lifestyles of Malaysians.
