Shah Alam Community Health Screening (8 November 2009)

A group of volunteers from Shah Alam Seventh Day Adventist Church, led by its Health Leader, Ms Premala, spent the whole day conducting health screening to their surrounding community. A total of 148 people congregated at the community hall and enjoyed a series of health screening activities including BMI, Body Fat analysis, Blood sugar check, Blood Pressure, Health Counselling and Health Exhibits.

“This is the first time that we are doing this as a church and it is a wonderful experience, hopefully it won’t be the last!” said Edwin, a youth volunteer. With the help from the nearby Sungai Way Tamil church members, including nurses and other young volunteers, the group enjoyed this great opportunity serving the community folks.
