Another Cooking Demo Hit at ACC (27 August 2009)

“Party Planners” was the theme of the recently concluded cooking demo held at the Adventist Community Health Centre (ACC) on 27th August 2009. True to its theme, the ACC was converted into a cozy ambience with nice lightings, candles, cushions, green plants, and available health magazines for the guests.

The food starters consisted of “tomato bites”, with tomatoes soaked in olive oil, oregano and salt, grilled in its perfection and served over toasted wholemeal bread; not forgetting the “Eggplant Pockets” with scrambled tofu and mayonnaise mixture packed inside an eggplant and baked to its delectable taste.

For the main course the team prepared a classic vegetarian lasagna and for dessert, the Filipino famous “Crema De Fruta” or fruit cream – all prepared in ACC’s style of “not harming any animals.”

As one guest commented; “I can’t believe vegetarian food can be prepared in such a nice way, I can’t stop eating!”
