The food is great! I have never seen like this in any
vegetarian restaurants the variety, the food presentation, very
international... and for RM5, this is cheap! those were the words
of one participant during the quarterly healthy buffet lunch held at
Adventist Community Health Centre (ACC) Petaling Jaya Branch on
Sunday, 16 August 2009. Almost 60 people converged at the said
premise, eager to taste the healthy food prepared by ACC staff and
volunteers.
Menu included Paella, a Spanish way of cooking rice,
Stuffed tomato, vegetarian fish in dark sauce, capati with Dhall,
fresh garden salad in balsamic vinegar and olive oil, not forgetting
the mouth watering desserts like crema de fruta (fruit cream),
carribean fruit salad, carrot cake and apple flat cake all
prepared using natural ingredients. This program is one way of
introducing to the public that healthy food does not necessarily
mean boring. It can be prepared in a healthy way, using natural
ingredients and at the same time, tasty and good for the eyes.
