Eight o’clock, as the morning sun rises on the horizon, the 20+
volunteers for the Mini Health expo at Taman Yarl in Overseas Union
Garden (OUG) began setting up the place for the health activity. By
9:30am, the place was ready to receive its first client, but not until
the opening ceremony led by the community leader, Mr. Bala.
“It is a privilege that our community is able to hold such activity
for the rakyat (public) and we are happy to work together with the
Adventist Community Health Centre,” said Mr. Bala.
And it was indeed rightly so as we were able to serve 85 folks who
were eager to go through all the series of health screening, healthy
cooking demo, hydrotherapy demo and not forgetting the famous CHAROBIX
exercise.
The project was a joint activity by the community organization of
Taman Yarl in O.U.G. and the Adventist Community Health Centre,
Petaling Jaya Branch with its energetic health leader, Mrs. Marcia
Rajakumar.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered to help! It was a true
service to the community.
