28 February 2009, Saturday -- DAHC was visited by ACC team for a
program related to stress. Made up of mainly young adults, whose
stress level surges uncontrollably due to work and at times financial
and relational factors, this program was more than fitting. Initially
designed as a pilot program, the event proved to be an effective
instrument to assess the stress levels of a specific group of people
and educate them on ways to lower, or more preferably eradicate
stress.
An easy stress test questionnaire was given to participants to fill up
and calculate their stress level based on the stipulated guidelines.
This stress test gave the participants an alarm bell to reduce their
stress.

There are many ways to tackle stress. Various therapies, medicines and
traditional ways have been proposed as an antidote for stress. On the
visit, ACC demonstrated two easy and cheap therapies that have been
used over the years. The anti-stress chair massage which includes a
series of procedures applied on the back and limbs is a good stress
reliever.

Also on exhibition was the Russian Steam bath, a therapy where the
patient is wrapped in a blanket and steamed while sitting on a chair.
Both demonstrations are very safe therapies which can be done in homes
and offices, requiring as little as 10mins to cause a person to enter
a relax mode for the next longer duration.
At the conclusion of the program, it was unanimous that such simple
acts of service can be used at penetrating tools of the gospel and
yield thousand fold of souls. It was a good experience to engage the
young adults with something which can benefit them and others too.
