Ipoh, Malaysia – On the 20th November 2011 Sunday,
Ipoh Chinese Church conducted a Health Awareness Campaign at Living
Springs Health Centre. The event was led by a health leader, Mrs.
Liew and a Medical Missionary, Paisly Chin. Praise the Lord, we have
youths from Ipoh Chinese Church and also from PJ English Church who
took their time off and volunteered for this cause. It was an
awesome time for them to gain experience in serving the Lord
especially in the community outreach work. The program started at
9am until 3pm. There were about 78 people who came and benefited on
the said program. The booths that we had were BMI (body mass index),
BP (blood pressure) screening, glucose check, eye checkup, and a
health counselors were available to interpret the compiled results
of each person’s health and advised them to improve their lifestyle
. The participants were so glad that they were able to avail such
beautiful and free services. The response was indeed positive. A
thank you to all who made this program possible!
