19 November 2011, Kluang JB – the team from the Adventist
Community Health Centre (ACC) travelled to Kluang as they were
invited to conduct health lecture on “Managing Stress” and
Anti-Stress Chair Massage. The program started at around 8PM to a
crowd of about 40 – majority of whom were married adults. Jane Yap
started with a talk about Stress. This was followed by a
demonstration done by Erwin Botabara, ACC Physiotherapist on simple
anti-stress neck and back massage. “As you face stress, the muscles
around your neck and back becomes stiff and you need to loosen these
muscle through massage,” says Erwin.
“This was an eye-opening for me” says one of the
participants. “Now I know why I am aware about the things that make
me stressed and at least by being aware I can do something about
it.” The program was paving the way for the community to get to know
about the Seventh Adventists and their lifestyle.
