Whoever said Charobix was for young people was
proven wrong at the training held in Penang. A group
of thirty people ranging in age from seven to
seventies came for the training and enjoyed every
step of the newly introduces Community Health
Aerobix (CHAROBIX). The program started at 8:30am by
a short encouraging speech from Jane, who was also
the lead trainer. She encouraged everyone to use
Charobix in order to improve their physical activity
and reduce the risks of suffering from chronic
diseases. The exercise consisted of five easy-to-do
flexibility routines followed by 4 sets of
coordinated movements and challenging combinations.
The highlight of the event came when the group was
divided into three for a mini-contest to pick the
best group of the day. To wrap up the event the best
group was rewarded, at the same time sending a
message that team work produces good results and
that enthusiasm should be cultivated within each
individual and spread to other members of the
community.
